Other models in the seventies The Renault 16 is one of the best-sold Renault cars in the seventies. Apart from the R16 there are more successful Renault models in those years. The Renault 4 (marketed since 1961) and the Renault 5 (since 1972) are the most famous and have been sold in very large numbers. The Renault 4 reached a number of more than 5,000,000 produced!
